What the website uses
We do not enable advertising cookies, visitor analytics or session recordings. Fonts and site icons are served with the website. Sentry reports limited software errors as described in our Privacy Policy; our Sentry configuration does not enable session tracking or replay storage.
Necessary sign-in storage
Clerk provides sign-in and uses cookies and browser storage to maintain and protect the account session. This is not a single SupportGate cookie. Account pages load Clerk only when sign-in is configured for that environment.
Clerk documents these main production cookies:
__session: a short-lived sign-in token used to authenticate requests. The token is normally refreshed every minute while the session is active; token validity is different from the lifetime of the cookie.__client: maintains the browser’s authentication state with Clerk and allows session tokens to be renewed.__client_uat: records when that authentication state changed.- Temporary handshake cookies: support transitions during sign-in.
Names may include an application-specific suffix. The production session has a maximum lifetime of 7 days, with no separate inactivity timeout. Browser limits may end it sooner. Cookie lifetime and session lifetime are not necessarily the same. Cookies may remain after a token expires; signing out ends the usable session.
These mechanisms support the sign-in service you request. Blocking them may prevent sign-in. We disable Clerk’s optional SDK telemetry. See Clerk’s cookie documentation and cookie terminology.
Google sign-in and security checks
If you choose to sign in with Google, you are sent to Google’s sign-in page, where Google uses its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy. Clerk then completes the sign-in with the necessary storage described above. Microsoft sign-in is not offered. The hosting or authentication provider may also use necessary security mechanisms to distinguish legitimate requests from abuse.
Your choices
You can browse the public website without signing in. You can sign out and remove cookies or site storage through your browser settings. Removing stored sign-in information may sign you out. If we introduce optional storage or tracking that requires consent, it will remain off until you opt in, with an equally accessible way to decline and withdraw consent.
